For those of you who never had the opportunity to experience a treehouse while growing up, now is your chance to re-live your youth. Located southwest of Paris, France, you can experience nature at its best while enjoying the silence of the surrounding forest while taking in the breathtaking views of the wild or water from 13 metres above ground level.
Cabanes du Bois Landry is a managed property with several types of treehouses. Access
to these homes in the sky can range from simply climbing up a ladder or spiral stairs, while others you have to zip-line to the roof in order to gain entry. With these cabins only have the bare necessities (no washroom facilities or electricity inside), it is wise to think about which cabin you would like to enjoy as getting up in the middle of the night to zip-line through the forest can be a little tricky for some. Believe it or not, there are meal plans available and you might be wondering how the food arrives at the zip-line treehouses, simply it’s pulled up on pulley system. Most of the cabins only accommodate up to two people but there are family cabins available for up to six people.
With the forest being a protective wildlife property, you might even have the chance to experience some animals in their natural habitat. Spend the day hiking on the trails provided or go for a horseback ride at a nearby stable. With the big city of Paris only being an 90 minute drive away, you can enjoy the best of both worlds, city by day, nature by night.
Be adventurous, give it a try………………………
